Objective
To revitalise a tired, weathered decking area into a modern, family-friendly garden. The goal was to design a stylish, low-maintenance outdoor space that could comfortably host large family gatherings while ensuring privacy and security for the homeowners.

Process highlights
Design approach:
Retaining wall with integrated steps - The old raised decking was replaced with a robust retaining wall, incorporating steps to create a seamless transition between the patio and the garden. This design not only maximised usable space but also enhanced the overall flow and accessibility.
High-spec porcelain patio - A large, sleek porcelain patio was installed, offering a durable and easy-to-clean surface. This elegant space is perfect for both casual family meals and larger gatherings, blending style with practicality.
Venetian trellises for modern privacy screening - Modern Venetian-style trellises were installed to provide privacy without enclosing the garden. The open structure allows light to flow through while maintaining a sense of space and airiness.
Secure side gate with key-lock system - For added security, a custom-designed side gate with a key-lock system was installed, blending seamlessly into the contemporary aesthetic of the garden and ensuring peace of mind for the family.
Fencing restoration and enhancements - Existing fences were repaired to restore boundary integrity while harmonising with the new design, ensuring the entire garden is cohesive and secure.

Outcome:
This Berrylands garden transformation turned a worn, underutilised space into a contemporary, low-maintenance outdoor area. The new porcelain patio offers ample room for family events, while the retaining wall, Venetian trellises, and secure gate combine to create a functional, private, and secure retreat for the family to enjoy for years to come.
